About The Scarlet Tassel

In 2001, co-founders Shelly Dozier-McKee and Deirdre Staab concepted a Home Décor and Gift store devoted to unique and uncommon home accessories and gifts. The vision was a store that would inspire people to personalize their home environments by offering a relaxed and comfortable shopping environment, a talented sales team that could assist customers with all their home decorating and gift needs, products offering quality and value, and superior customer service. Shelly and Deirdre brought to The Scarlet Tassel over 38 years of combined catalog and retail experience at the national level, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the home décor marketplace. In July of 2003, The Scarlet Tassel opened its first store location.

The store is divided into lifestyle sections that showcase products in real and meaningful ways, providing customers with realistic ideas that they can envision within their own home environment. As you stroll through the store, you will find areas dedicated to key product categories such as Candles, Kitchen Accessories, Lighting and Wine/Bar Accessories. Within each area, not only will you find a wide range of unique items but displays set up to provide you with ideas on how to use the items within your home.

To ensure that we are offering the most unique items in the market, our buyers attend 5-8 trade shows a year, spending countless hours looking for those items that set us apart from many mass market retailers. It is our goal to always offer items that are stylish and current with the trends; items that you don't readily see elsewhere and above all, items that our customers are asking us for.

The staff, adorned in red or green aprons, is ready to help you with all your decorating needs from finding that perfect tassel to adorn your front door to helping you accessorize that bare fireplace mantel in your living room. Even finding the right wall décor and accessories to make your guest bedroom a special place your guest will truly enjoy is part of our everyday service to you.
